Maratrac
Looking for information on using a Syntor X9000 head with a Maratrac. The Texas Highway Patrol uses this setup (you have to program the head with X9000 RSS and the Maratrac with Maratrac RSS). Supposedly it involves adding an interface board to the X9000 head. Anyone know the specifics?
There is an advanced head for a Maratrac that has a squelch knob on it, yes it is factory. According to a MSS, it works only on LB Maratracs that have extenders. We need to know how to make it active, are there changes in the drawer needed or in programming?

ASTRO SABER
Anyone know how (if possible) to use a Astro HHCH with the Astro Saber like a deluxe remote mic?
There are several references to an SP version of the Astro Saber that is equipped with Fascinator Securenet, AND works with GE/Ericsson's EDACS format trunking. The word is that this ultra-special radio was created in response to a Marine Corps special requirement for a radio that would work with their land based EDACS system and would also have Fascinator encryption in conventional operation for (mostly) tactical and/or offshore operations. Motorola was able to supply this item because Ericsson doesn't have authorization to produce or have Fascinator encrypted technology since they are not a US-based company. Supposedly this special radio type is in use at a Marine Corps base in the vicinity of Corpus Christi, Texas. If anyone can provide any information confirming or denying this, it would be immensely appreciated.
