An alternate channel selection method is to use a DIP (dual-inline-pins/package) switch.

NON-INDUCTIVE, 50 OHM, 50 WATT RESISTOR, makes a great 50 watt dummy load. Attach a short length of coax and add SO-239 coax (female) connector. RF can sometimes cause a ''reset'' of a node or TNC. These 1/4 inch ferrite beads are used in many applications to reduce RF feedback from transceivers into TNC audio circuits. Also used on the MIC HI lead to reduce RF feedback (squeal).
