This ferrite choke provides an increased degree of immunity from potential ground loops and RF feedback. To further reduce the effects of processor interference, the RS-232 cable used for automatic PTT via the PSK and SSTV software, is a high quality, well shielded, 6 foot cable utilizing both foil and drain wire shielding. Yaesu FT-90 and FT-100 diagram for PSK31 and SSTV.
This circuit is employed
when interfacing the Yaesu FT-90 and FT-100 to an SB16 sound card.
TheR-FT90-100, input is the microphone jack, a 6 pin "RJ12" modular jack. Receive audio is
taken from the 3.5mm Ext Spkr jack.
