With the
RASCAL, the PC Sound Card Line in and Line out, are ISOlated from the transceiver by special, audio coupling transformers designed for this application. The LINE IN and LINE OUT (Mic IN & Spkr OUT) cables are high quality, shielded cables with a high permeability ferrite choke molded into the cable. This ferrite choke provides an increased degree of immunity from potential RF feedback. Automatic PTT is enabled by software activation from the serial comport via a high quality, well shielded, 6 foot cable utilizing both foil and drain wire shielding. A level control is included to adjust the transmit audio to the transceiver. In addition to PSK31, Packet, WSJT, and SSTV, the RASCAL® also operates MFSK, HELL, and other sound card to transceiver modes.The "RASCAL"© does NOT require 'wall-warts,' or external power supply transformers.

TheR-FT90-100, input is the microphone jack, a 6 pin "RJ12" modular jack. Receive audio is
taken from the 3.5mm Ext Spkr jack.
