Got more than one transceiver.? Now you can operate the sound card modes without buying additional interfaces. You can easily change from the HF transceiver to your VHF/UHF transceiver by simply unplugging the HF cable from the RASCAL Mark Vplus and inserting another cable for a different transceiver. Do them all, PSK31, SSTV, Packet, MT63, RTTY (FSK & AFSK), eQSO, EchoLink, APRS, CW and much more, with different transceivers using only one RASCALmkV. RASCAL mark V plus is wired, tested, and ready to ship!

NOTE that when compared to other, more expensive interfaces that DO NOT process the receive audio, the RASCAL processes both Receive and Transmit audio via audio isolation transformers. This Rx and Tx audio isolation prevents ground loop coupling, and reduces the chance of RF feedback into the PC sound card (squeals, hum, etc). To further reduce RF feedback and RF ingress into the Tx or Rx sound card audio, we install a large (molded) ferrite core over the RASCAL to sound card audio I/O cable(s). The end result is a clean, and good (IMD) on-the-air signal with your PSK, SSTV, Packet, and other digital modes.

No case screws to remove and replace when you want to change radios.

No jumpers to juggle.

No Wall-Wart or external power supplies.

Special, coupling transformers & high quality, shielded cables isolate the LINE IN and LINE OUT (or, Mic IN & Spkr OUT) .

RASCAL� is the ideal sound card interface for portable and field-day operations.

Automatic PTT control is activated via the PC serial comport via software.

To further reduce CPU noise, the serial comport interface 6 ft cable is high quality, with both foil and drain wire shielding.

A transmit level control for transmit audio level control to the transceiver.
