NOTE: When compared to more expensive interfaces that DO NOT process the receive audio, the RASCAL processes both Receive and Transmit audio via audio isolation transformers. This Rx and Tx audio isolation prevents ground loop coupling, and reduces the chance of RF feedback into the PC sound card (squeals, hum, etc). To further reduce RF feedback and RF ingress into the Tx or Rx sound card audio, we install a large (molded) ferrite core over the RASCAL to sound card audio I/O cable(s).
The end result is a clean, and good (IMD) on-the-air signal with PSK, SSTV, EchoLink, Eqso, and related digital modes.
