Got more than one transceiver? Now you can operate the sound card modes without buying additional interfaces. Simply change from your HF transceiver to the VHF/UHF transceiver by unplugging the HF cable and inserting a different transceiver cable. By using transformer isolation for the transmit and Receive audio paths, we prevent ground loop coupling, and reduce the chance of RF feedback into the PC sound card (squeals, hum, etc). To further reduce RF feedback and RF ingress into the Tx or Rx sound card audio, we install a large (molded) ferrite core over the RASCAL to sound card audio I/O cable(s). The end result is clean, clear, audio, reproduction on-the-air. An added benefit of these preventive measures is the reduction of IMD. RASCAL GLKits are in-stock, ready to ship!

Operation of PSK31 is typically in USB mode, thus the actual operating frequencies will range from the lower frequency, upward by three (3) kHz. In theory, this means that you can plunk a hundred, 31 Hz, PSK31 signals into the same spectrum as one SSB signal might occupy. |

RASCAL GLX or TNC2 to Radio interface using this ready
made cable. The 5DMX cable is 6 feet long, the 5 pin
(male) DIN and 3.5mm external speaker plug are already attached
and wired to the 5 pin DIN. All you add is the mating connector
for the transceiver end. The cable is prepped with 1/2 inch of
each wire exposed, and 1/8 inch bare wire stripped and solder tinned for
easy radio plug installation. Cable is almond color. |

RASCAL/MIC Switch for
transceivers without an accessory jack.
EZ switch'n between MIC and RASCAL, Just Flip the
switch. It's great when operating SSTV, and modes requiring both voice
and digital interaction. The 5 pin
DIN at "A" plugs into the RASCAL I/O jack, the Screw-On connector at
"B" connects to the radio mic jack. The 3.5mm (1/8") plug at
"D" plugs into the (Ext Spkr) "Y" connector (included), and the
Radio Microphone connects to the MIC jack at "C".
Overall length is nine (9') feet.
This is our
cable model "KVXT" which is used to make the TinyTrak, Kantronics VHF or 1200 baud
cable, and in most cases, it may be used to fabricate the KAMxl cables.
Similar
to above, except has 4 pin screw-on mic connector and curly cord.
