This is the latest attempt by the ISO 9002 committee, to establish a "standard" for 1200 and 9600 baud I/O with PTT. If your radio has this jack as an I/O, this is the port to use for the digital modes, as it enables leaving your microphone connected. If your transceiver supports this 6 pin Mini DIN I/O, then consider using our cable model, "CBL MDIN" with the RASCAL GLX. By using this jack you've enabled simultaneous use of the digital modes and voice operation. (some transceivers require "menu selection" to activate this I/O).
