See RASCAL pages.  Connect this new 2006 RASCAL GLX sound card interface between your rig and computer and enjoy operating the digital modes.    Everything you need, and Best of all, NO external power (NO wall-wart needed), The small amount of current for the RASCAL is supplied by the comport of the PC to which it is attached.  This makes the RASCAL GLX ideal for field day, portable, and mobile operating; of PSK31, SSTV, PACKET, MT63, RTTY/FSK, RTTY/AFSK, eQSO, EchoLink, iLink, APRS, CW and many more operating modes.  Operation is fully automatic Push-To-Talk (PTT) and audio control.  Isolation transformers matches sound card audio to eliminate ground loops.  The only Sound Card to transceiver with cables available for  transceivers to use either MIC or Accessory inputs/outputs. The RASCAL GLX is supplied with a FREE cable tailored for your transceiver. 

Now you can operate the sound card modes without buying additional interfaces.  Simply change from your HF transceiver to the VHF/UHF transceiver by unplugging one cable and inserting a cable for a different transceiver. By using transformer isolation for the transmit and Receive audio paths, we prevent ground loop coupling, and reduce the chance of RF feedback into the PC sound card (squeals, hum, etc).  To further reduce RF feedback and RF ingress into the Tx or Rx sound card audio, we install a large (molded) ferrite core over the RASCAL to sound card audio I/O cable(s). The end result is clean, clear, audio, reproduction on-the-air. An added benefit of these preventive measures is IMD reduction.

Many of them take advantage of Explorer's ActiveX system, which lets Web sites download and install software onto visitors' computers, sometimes without users' knowledge. ActiveX was meant to make it easy to add the latest interactive multimedia and other features to sites, but instead it's become a tool for sneaking spyware onto unsuspecting PCs.   Firefox eschews ActiveX and other well-known infection paths. You can configure it to automatically download most files when you click on them, but not .exe files, which are runnable programs which can contain deadly viruses. I thought this was a bug before I realized Firefox was saving me from myself, since .exe files could be viruses or stealth installers."
